The Academic Council of Stella Mary’s College of Engineering is the principal academic body responsible for planning, regulating, and monitoring all academic activities of the institution. It plays a critical role in maintaining the standards of teaching, learning, and evaluation to ensure academic excellence across all departments.

Comprised of distinguished academicians, heads of departments, senior faculty members, and university representatives, the council actively contributes to shaping a curriculum that is innovative, industry-relevant, and aligned with national educational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and approving curriculum, syllabi, and academic regulations
  • Overseeing academic quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
  • Promoting research, innovation, and interdisciplinary learning
  • Recommending best practices in pedagogy and assessment methods
  • Reviewing feedback and academic outcomes for future enhancements
