The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Stella Mary's College of Engineering is established to strengthen a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and startup development within the institution.
The Council encourages students and faculty members to identify real-world problems, develop creative solutions, practise design thinking, build prototypes and participate in innovation-oriented activities such as workshops, hackathons, idea competitions, entrepreneurship programmes and industry interactions.
Through mentoring, ecosystem linkages and structured innovation activities, the Council helps build awareness and capability for innovation, intellectual development, entrepreneurship and startup creation.

The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at Stella Mary's College of Engineering, Kanyakumari, promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking and startup-oriented learning among students and faculty members. The Council organises workshops, hackathons, innovation challenges, seminars and entrepreneurship programmes, encourages development of prototypes and practical solutions, supports startup and incubation awareness, and builds connections with industry experts, entrepreneurs, mentors, incubators and other innovation ecosystem partners. Its purpose is to create a strong institutional culture in which ideas can progress from problem identification and ideation to development, validation and wider implementation.
