The SC/ST/OBC Committee of Stella Mary's College of Engineering supports students from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes communities through academic guidance, grievance support, awareness of welfare schemes and assistance in accessing relevant institutional and government opportunities.

The SC/ST/OBC Committee of Stella Mary's College of Engineering is established to support students from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes communities and to help them participate fully in academic and institutional life. The committee also provides a forum through which students and employees may raise relevant grievances and seek assistance in addressing academic or administrative difficulties.

Promote awareness and effective use of welfare policies, scholarships and schemes offered by State Governments, the Government of India and relevant authorities.

Guide students towards appropriate institutional resources, mentoring, academic assistance and welfare support where required.

Policy Implementation

Support implementation and monitoring of applicable institutional, State and Central Government measures intended for SC, ST and OBC communities.

Promote awareness of scholarships, welfare programmes and support schemes available to eligible students.
Guide students in accessing institutional, State Government, Government of India and AICTE-related benefits where applicable.
Provide support for academic and administrative grievances raised by students and employees belonging to SC, ST and OBC communities.
Encourage equal access to academic resources, student-development opportunities and institutional support systems.
Coordinate with departments and institutional authorities when specific student-support interventions are required.
Promote an inclusive campus environment based on dignity, fairness, respect and equal opportunity.
Support monitoring of applicable policies, programmes and welfare measures relating to SC, ST and OBC communities.
Encourage students to make effective use of available educational, financial and institutional support mechanisms.
