Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a national programme that encourages higher educational institutions to engage with rural communities and contribute to sustainable development and improvement in quality of life.
Through the UBA framework, participating institutions develop linkages with rural communities, understand local development challenges, undertake field studies and explore practical solutions using institutional knowledge, interdisciplinary expertise, science and technology.
Faculty members, students, NSS volunteers and other institutional units can contribute through surveys, awareness activities, problem identification, technical interventions and sustained community engagement.
